Garage worker wrecks Ferrari 612 Scaglietti

Keywords: United Kingdom

A garage worker in Surrey, UK, ran a £200,000 Ferrari into a lamppost while carrying out a "quick road test". The dark blue supercar, which can reach a top speed of 196mph, had been entrusted to the local MOT centre in New Malden. We hope everyone was properly insured.

Ferrari 612 ScagliettiEyewitness reports suggest that no other car was involved in the crash, which saw the Ferrari fly over a 2ft wall and into the middle of a roundabout.

The 5.7L V12 engine supercar is one of a handful in the UK. As you would expect, the owner is "obviously not happy that their pride and joy has been wrecked."

What you'd call a bad day at the office - or how to become an instant celebrity in the community - for the garage worker.

He was probably having one last joyride before giving the car back.

Just like in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, except this guy's not so clever.
