Supercar competitions offer players the chance of winning their dream car by using their skill and judgement. Unlike win a car raffles that are purely based on the luck of the draw, supercar competition winners have to achieve a better result than other players to win the car prize. Best of the Best Plc have been running supercar competitions in UK airports for 9 years, giving away over £9 million in car prizes to over 250 winners during this time. They recently revamped their website to add lots of new prizes and competitions, so there is something to suit everyone.
If you've happened to travel by plane from the UK over the last few years, chances are you will have come across a Best of the Best competition stand. Each stand features at least one gleaming supercar, giving you a taste of what you could win. They are present in most UK airports nowerdays and have even started developing internationally with a new stand in Copenhagen airport opened recently. Since 2006, Best of the Best Plc is a public company with its shares listed on AIM on the London Stock Exchange. Their scale allows them to run a different supercar competition every month, offering a choice of 10 different car prizes on average. The current competition features a Lamborghini Gallardo (retail price £137,900); an Aston Martin Vantage; a Ferrari F430 Coupe; a Bentley Continental GT Coupe; a Porsche 997 and a Mercedes S63 AMG. What's more, if you prefer something more practical or would like to take home some cash, you could choose a Jaguar XFR + £40,000; a Porsche Boxster Spyder + £60,000; an Audi RS6 + Caterham R300 + Trailer; an Audi R8 + Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 SE or £90,000 in cash instead. Each car comes with £6,000 towards servicing and maintenance costs, is available in either left or right hand drive and can be shipped and delivered in most countries free of charge. For the true supercar fans, although the cars are ordered in basic specification, additional options can be requested. To qualify for the supercar prize, you'll have to play their online Spot the Ball game. This requires players to determine where the centre of the ball should be by clicking a football photo. The ball has been digitally erased from the picture and players have to use the information provided to pick the correct placement of the ball. This generates a set of unique coordinates for each entry. The same photo is shown to a panel of football referees, who provide the reference coordinates used to determine the winner by playing the same game. The player whose coordinates are 'spot on' - or closest to the panel's decision - wins the competition. A single competition entry costs £20. However, you can also take advantage of the bulk discounts currently offered on the site: 3 entries for £40; 5 for £60; 10 for £100 or 50 for £500. If you're not sure you want to spend so much, you could enter one of the weekly Sportscar Competitions instead for as little as £2 a play. You'll have to be 'spot on' to win, but you could drive home a Porsche Boxster or Land Rover Discovery. A great way of testing the site before you move onto the main competitions. I've entered a few times over the last few years... The guys at Best of the Best are genuine and they're one of the few ones out there to actually give out supercars. One day I'll own a Lambo, it's only a question of time :)
